[Dream of the Red Chamber] Lin Daiyu in the Modern World

What if the story of Dream of the Red Chamber took place in the modern world?

The Jia family’s Ningrong Group, dominating half the real estate market?

The Xue family’s pharmaceutical company, Ziweitang, leading the way in Chinese-style cosmetics?

The Wang family, whose main business is loans,

The Shi family, expanding overseas,

The Zhen family, known as the “Jinling Property Speculation Group”...

The tide of the times surges on, with one wave following another.

In unremarkable corners,

Lin Daiyu has quietly won her inheritance lawsuit,

while Xue Baochai is still working hard to pass the civil service exam;

Xiangling has successfully found her biological parents through police DNA matching,

while Li Wan has founded her own trendy clothing brand, Gongcai, and embarked on a vigorous entrepreneurial journey...

Yingchun, who runs away from an arranged marriage,

Xiren, who teaches,

and Qingwen, who is determined to become a master of Suzhou embroidery, an intangible cultural heritage.

Yuanchun, just as her fate foretold, has gone to a celestial palace where mortals cannot venture: China’s lunar research station.

In the new era of socialism, each of them has a bright future.

Having broken free from the shackles of the Registry of Ill-Fated Beauties, their journey leads to the stars and the sea!

Theme: Modern society gives everyone equal access to education and the right to strive for a better life. In modern society, women are no longer men’s dependents, confined to the inner chambers and forced to fight like trapped beasts against other women who share their tragic fates. They can study, work, leave the inner household, and embrace freedom. They can also use their own hands to create more miracles and realize their true worth.
