Family Bliss

Ji Tingting always felt that her life was like a fleeting visit, and no matter how hard she tried, she could never get a seat at the main table.

As a child, she was a treasured guest in her father's home. As an adult, she was a companion guest in her husband's home. And in old age, she became an honored guest in her son's home.

She grew up in her father's home, toiled in her husband's home, and in the end, rested her feet for a while in her son's home. If you called this life worthwhile, perhaps it was. But happy? Her whole family had passed through her body, so why was she the only one who could be a guest? Whose happiness was this so-called joy of family life, anyway?

"A family came crawling out of my body, but that family belongs to everyone except me."
