I've Liked Your Girlfriend for a Long Time

Gentle yet assertive movie star x reclusive, deaf screenwriter

I want to read about a gentle older woman coaxing her insecure kitty into feeling safe.

Blurb:

Xia Ying is a screenwriter. She is deaf in her right ear, speaks little, and is secretly dating Chen Shuhuai, a top-tier star.

The scripts she writes are always poised to become hits, and Chen Shuhuai is always the leading lady.

Chen Shuhuai promises that once Xia Ying writes another good script, she'll make their relationship public. Xia Ying has spent countless sleepless nights writing for her, only to find out that Chen Shuhuai secretly gave her script to a wealthy patron she wanted to curry favor with.

Outside the door, Xia Ying hears Chen Shuhuai say, "She's deaf, has no connections, and she's a woman. If she couldn't write scripts, why would I bother pretending to get along with her?"

The wealthy patron inside catches Xia Ying's eye through the crack in the door, then looks at Chen Shuhuai and smiles. "So when are the two of you breaking up?"

I've liked your girlfriend for a long time.

[Please note]

This is an older-woman romance, but they switch roles. After all, if you want to have fun, you have to have fun together.
