Jian Mo's boyfriend died on his birthday.
A car accident, right on the road Zhou Yan often took to and from work.
On the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, Jian Mo walked into the new bookstore downstairs and took an old book from the shelf.
That night, he followed the instructions in the book and held a ghost marriage with his boyfriend.
When the ceremony was over, a gust of wind suddenly brushed past his ear in the sealed room.
He whipped around, but saw nothing. Nothing had happened.
In August, Jian Mo joined a supernatural exploration trip organized by a friend.
Maybe it was his imagination, but when they entered the abandoned building, he couldn't shake the feeling that a pair of eyes was watching him.
When a real ghost appeared, everyone scattered in blind panic.
Jian Mo ran too, but at the same time he struggled to hold back his laughter.
This was wonderful. Ghosts really did exist in this world.
A chill kept drawing closer. Just as it was about to press against him, a figure stepped between him and the ghost.
A strange sense of incongruity made Jian Mo turn around instinctively. The ghost that had been chasing him was already gone.
Standing in front of him was the familiar figure he knew so well.
--
"Zhou Yan." A delighted voice came from behind him, followed by the warm embrace of a living human.
Looking down at his twisted limbs, the red-clad ghost's eyes flashed with panic.
He shouldn't have come out. He looked so ugly. But Jian Mo was in danger.
Zhou Yan's thoughts were a mess, yet he couldn't help turning around and drawing Jian Mo into his arms with his battered body.
But who was he? And who was he himself?
The good news: He had successfully found his boyfriend.
The bad news: His boyfriend had become adorably brainless, forgotten Jian Mo, and even forgotten who he was himself.
To help his boyfriend recover his memories, Jian Mo began joining supernatural events more and more often. His boyfriend had lost his memory, and he didn't even dare tell him about their relationship, afraid he'd be unable to accept it and run away.
If a person ran off, you could at least look for him. But if a ghost ran off, where was Jian Mo supposed to find him?
So Jian Mo went wherever there was a supernatural incident. As he kept doing it, he suddenly realized that he'd made a name for himself in the world of mysticism?
A gloomy ghost and his human-like boyfriend
Ghost marriage from the start, a couple working together, plot-driven.
