Rule One of the Scientific Mystery World: No magic, superpowers, or anything like that.
Kuroba: ...Hello? Then what's up with my witch classmate?
Rule Two of the Scientific Mystery World: There are no demons or ghosts.
Hattori, being dragged away by Okita to seal the Yamata no Orochi that had somehow escaped from some film set: ...Is that so?
Rule Three of the Scientific Mystery World: Illusions don't exist, either.
Hakuba, currently running all over the place trying to catch Spider: Huh?
And so, to protect their friend, who was probably still living in a very pure materialist worldview, the three high school boys independently embarked on a journey of fictional deduction.
Kuroba: That's magic special effects! Special effects!
Hattori: Kudo, you saw it wrong. There are no demons or ghosts. It was just an optical illusion.
Hakuba: It was unconscious hypnosis.
Kudo: ...
Kudo looked at them and said, unable to take it anymore, "I mean, is it possible that..."
"We're actually in a setting-driven New Honkaku mystery?!"
Warning: OOC
This started when I was looking up information about Hattori and found that his mom was from the cast of some series by Gosho Aoyama that seemed pretty high-magic. Plus, every one of Hattori's enemies in the Five-Pointed Star movie is a heavyweight... Hattori, you ended up in the wrong anime. If you were in a superpowered action series, you'd at least be the kind of guy who could level a building. == This idea suddenly came to me, and I don't know when I'll actually start writing it, so I'm putting it up for advance collection first...
