Synopsis

A post-apocalyptic wasteland story about rebuilding a home.

Reserving this spot for now.

I currently have two ideas: 1. An elf transmigrates, with a bit of a golden finger. 2. A local protagonist works hard to get rich. [This version uses the second idea. I'll make a separate preview for the elf story, set in the modern day.]

I'm Jian An, a "wasteland second-generation kid."

Not the second generation of some fallen family, but a member of the generation born into the new world after the world became a wasteland. We are collectively called the wasteland second generation.

I can't understand the blue skies, white clouds, and beautiful mountains and rivers my parents talk about, the kind untainted by pollution.

I can't imagine soft bread or candy without a bitter taste.

Everything my parents describe sounds like science fiction to me, a fairy tale I can't even begin to imagine.

Then, on the day I came of age, I was assigned a "plot of land to care for." As I stood in my own field, I suddenly heard its voice.

It said it could help me cultivate improved varieties, high-yield seeds suited to growing in the wasteland.

It said it could also improve wasteland seeds and make them taste better.

It said... it could help me build a paradise, one that would recreate, as much as possible, the... fairy-tale world my parents described.

I was tempted.

So I agreed.

And then... a paradise rose from the wasteland.

There, you can find the beauty of a time before civilization collapsed and order still existed.

There, you can eat gleaming rice, delicious meals, and pastries so sweet they leave you speechless.
