Gu Shen is an aloof top student, indifferent to others. Getting him to say one extra word could cost someone half their life.

Then one day, Ji Yu mistakes him for a dog and kisses him. But as a paragon of gentlemanly virtue, Gu Shen holds to the principle that if you’ve been kissed, you take responsibility, and reluctantly agrees to be the other man’s boyfriend.

He swears that the moment Ji Yu does anything out of line, he’ll end this disgusting relationship.

But as they grow closer, Gu Shen feels like he might be going crazy. When Ji Yu gazes at him with those beautiful eyes, looking only at him, and calls him “Darling” every other word, Gu Shen doesn’t hate it. He even finds it cute.

He’s already starting to plan where they’ll get married, when Ji Yu turns around and asks to break up. When Gu Shen realizes that Ji Yu has been lying to him from the very beginning, he laughs in anger.

Gu Shen grits his teeth. “Ji Yu, you really are something.”

As a result, when the two finally go all the way, Ji Yu nearly dies in bed.
