Anyway, it’s a strange idea. (I quickly updated the default name for the new kid.) (There’s a lot of room for interpretation in this name, since the romanization of Shangcheng can also be translated as Shindai, like the incarnation of a divine being, lol.)
A quick recap: In the P5X setting, the world is in a state without desire, and people’s desires have been stolen, causing their personalities to change.
What kind of place did this interdimensional navigation system bring me to? Is this even Tokyo?
The leader of the Phantom Thieves, code-named Wonder, has run into some trouble lately.
While resting at home, his interdimensional navigation system suddenly emitted a strange signal. Then, without warning, it unceremoniously dumped him on the other side of the planet, in America, along with an owl whose unusual flight he had noticed.
A high school student with a face that looks like it’s never been bullied appears in Gotham in the middle of the night. Of course someone is going to stop him.
Although the absence of desire has changed this city’s appearance to some extent, Gotham is still Gotham. There’s no need to explain just how dangerous it is at night.
Fortunately, Wonder is an ordinary high school student with a maxed-out level 20 in all five stats, who helps people on the streets of Tokyo in his spare time while moonlighting as a Phantom Thief. Getting away from a few thugs is no problem for him.
But before he can act, his standoff with the thugs draws the Bat’s attention.
An urgent email summons Damian, who has been wandering around the world, back to Gotham.
And so, in a dark alley, a detective becomes an accomplice to a Phantom Thief. Together, they begin to reclaim all the stolen desires.
