*Main story is told in third person

There was a boy in my class who was exactly my type.

Later, I realized he seemed to be a germaphobe.

He hated crowds and being touched. He even frowned if someone breathed too close to him.

I didn't mean to bother him, but an unexpected mishap brought us together, and we became friends. Our relationship slowly improved, and I wasn't as stiff around him as I had been at first. Maybe because we were friends, he held out his hand to me at the dance.

I thought a person shouldn't be too greedy.

I shook my head and took a step back. "I've caused you a lot of trouble lately, and I'm sorry. You don't have to force yourself. I'll make sure to keep my distance."

He looked even gloomier.

Just as I thought he would turn and leave as usual, he suddenly stepped forward and demanded, his eyes full of frustration, "Why?"

I couldn't resist his advances, and we got together.

He was nothing like I had imagined.

He was a germaphobe. He disliked people who couldn't take proper care of themselves, yet he insisted on coming over to look after me when I was sick, and even kissed me...

Is he really a germaphobe?
