The main story is told from the bottom's point of view. A healing story, with lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of illness.
Before they come of age, it's truly a story about raising a child, with no romance involved.
Chen Ting, bottom vs. Zhou Zhixing, top.
[Blurb:]
The day Zhou Zhixing takes his own life in front of Chen Ting's grave, he has just turned thirty.
The doctor says Chen Ting suffered too much when he was young, and even if the surgery succeeds, he won't live another two years.
Zhou Zhixing thinks that if there's another life, he wants to find him sooner.
But...
But fate has always been cruel to Chen Ting, so there has never been an if.

Their friends all say Zhou Zhixing has probably gone crazy lately.
First, he gives up his comfortable life and insists on moving into a run-down urban village. He even buys a house and takes in a kid as a tenant.
Apparently, the tenant's name is Chen Ting.
When his friends bring it up, the cigarette between Zhou Zhixing's fingers flickers. He sighs, but doesn't take a single puff.
One friend asks, "Is your tenant hard to deal with?"
Zhou Zhixing shakes his head. "No. He's too considerate."
Isn't it good to be considerate?
Zhou Zhixing just sits silently by the river, letting the wind blow over him all night. He doesn't get up to go home until dawn.
Later, they hear that Zhou Zhixing walked out of a meeting after getting a phone call, nearly losing a deal worth tens of millions.
Then they hear that someone accidentally smashed the teacup he'd treasured for years.
But Zhou Zhixing just smiles and says, "That's a good thing."
How is that a good thing?
His friends don't understand. They can only shake their heads.
Later still, they witness Zhou Zhixing stumble into the hospital, holding a young man in his arms, completely forgetting to keep up appearances.
He nearly runs out of his shoes, all the while murmuring desperate pleas: "Please, please wake up... Please don't leave me again. As long as you're here, you can call me as many times as you like, break as many cups as you want..."
**
Thirty-year-old Zhou Zhixing has a wish.
He wants to hold the young Chen Ting and tell him:
Even if you're not so considerate, you still deserve a wonderful youth.
You can finish high school, then go to the university of your dreams.
Wanting to continue your studies isn't wrong, and wanting to see other countries isn't some ridiculous fantasy either.
You should have a few close friends. You should play basketball after class, go to the arcade and try the latest games, and eat barbecue and skewers in the summer night breeze, laughing and fooling around with your friends.
Instead of being forced to drop out and work, left with a body full of injuries and illness.
Instead of finally struggling out of the mire, only to die quietly on a cold winter night.
Chen Ting is most afraid of winter.
