Reborn as a Black Hole

*

One day, I woke up.

It was pitch-black around me, and no matter what I did, I couldn't see my body. Even the word "see" felt strange now. Yes, I seemed to have no eyes.

Far away, a light was flickering, so I drifted toward it out of curiosity. It was a glowing sphere, with several smaller spheres orbiting around it. They were adorable. I wanted to join them.

But when I approached, the spheres seemed to sense some strange gravitational pull. Some flew toward me, while others were torn to pieces and turned to dust, merging into my body. Then I noticed my accretion disk had lit up, like strange molten gold, dazzling and savage.

So... I was a black hole.
