The Psychiatric Patient Discovers the World Has Finally Gone Crazy

“...You have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, paranoid personality disorder...” “Then, if I understand you correctly...” The young man paused, then asked calmly, “Am I beyond saving?” The doctor, who had three heads, smiled. The mouthparts taking up two-thirds of its face quivered, emitting a low hum. “There is hope. Here's the medical bill. You'll need to pay first.” “...” * Shen Jinyun thought he would probably spend the rest of his life in a sanatorium. With a diagnosis saying his mental state was completely abnormal in hand, he walked down the street. Fish-headed monsters with human bodies ran mermaid barbecue stalls. Strange creatures covered in eyes danced the social shuffle on street corners. A sunflower-headed shop assistant smiled and offered him a taste of the latest drink. Sometimes, in his dreams, he could hear the faint, distant sound of a battered piano. Enormous shadows loomed over the planet, while countless rolling eyeballs watched the earth beneath a blood-red sky. Shen Jinyun: That's it? (Extremely calm) (Used to it) Until one day, the monsters' disguises were torn away. People realized the truth about the world and plunged into utter madness. No human could look directly at Them, except for one madman who thought his psychosis was acting up. Shen Jinyun grabbed the silver hair of that “supreme deity” and frowned as he studied them. “...My brain doesn't work too well, and I hallucinate a lot. Who are you again?” * When all things withered and monsters ran rampant, someone once saw a silver-haired young man standing alone beneath a blood-red sky, gazing from afar at those ancient mountains. No monster dared approach him. He was the “new god” of this planet. *Everyone thinks the protagonist is amazing *The characters' opinions in this story do not represent the author's *Cthulhu Mythos-inspired story, with lots of original worldbuilding Eldritch Outer God x white-haired test subject *Inspired on 2024.7.16 *Check out my upcoming story, Exploring the Cthulhu Mythos with Monster Livestreams Su Zeyu started livestreaming to support his family. I've just teleported us to Antarctica. This is the, Mountains of Madness! We'll head straight ahead, and maybe ask an Elder Thing to take a quick survey...” “Thanks to Legendary Investigator for the sports car convoy!” “Thanks, Cthulhu, for the rocket launcher!!” Su Zeyu's streaming career was booming, and he didn't notice that many of the usernames in his chat looked familiar, such as “Yog-Sothoth,” “Cthulhu,” and “Nyarlathotep.” Theme: Keep moving forward, and don't be misled by rumors and gossip.
