After Zuo Yu was in a car accident, she became a vegetable. Her boyfriend, Yu Zhou, devoted himself to caring for her for five years. She decided she would spend the rest of her life treating him well.

Then one day, someone told Zuo Yu that Yu Zhou was cheating on her and had been lying to her all along.

Zuo Yu didn't want to believe it, but when she discovered that their marriage certificate was fake, she was furious!

She decided to get a divorce... No, without a marriage certificate, there was no paperwork to deal with. They would just break up.

But leaving sent her straight into grave danger.

It turned out someone had been plotting against her all along. Or rather, what they were really after was Yu Zhou's research.

What surprised Zuo Yu even more was that she herself was Yu Zhou's greatest research achievement.
