Hua Wulian x Que Xu
Blunt, jealous sweetheart x cold-faced, guilty immortal
*Sweet on the outside, dark within | Past and present lives | A love tangled in hatred | Bad ending
:
The young heiress of the Hua family had dreamed of cultivating immortality since she was a child.
Just after her seventeenth birthday, she ran away from home, declaring that she would seek immortality and the Dao.
After three days of searching, the city guards found this pampered young lady crouched in a ruined temple outside the city. With hands that had never done a stitch of work, she was wiping blood from the face of a woman covered in it.
She didn't know that this woman was Que Xu, a traitor whom the entire cultivation world wanted dead.
When Que Xu woke, the first thing she saw was a fuzzy head resting on her shoulder. "Goddess Big Sister, will you take me as your disciple?"
Que Xu rose, clutching her wound, and pressed her sword scabbard to the girl's throat. "If you don't want to die, get lost."
The young heiress's lower lip trembled, and tears came at once.
Que Xu's sword hand froze in midair. From then on, she had an unwanted tagalong trailing behind her.
-
"I swear I'll be good and listen to you. I absolutely won't hold you back!"
She said all the right things, but her actions were another matter entirely.
When Que Xu met an old friend in a teahouse, Hua Wulian crouched outside the private room like a little mushroom.
As the friend left, the little mushroom suddenly sprouted two arms and clung tightly to Que Xu's waist.
"Let go."
Hua Wulian butted her head against Que Xu. "No! She looked at you strangely!"
Que Xu picked her up and warned her, "Keep this up and I'll leave you behind."
But later, when Hua Wulian truly fell out of love with her and tried to flee, Que Xu searched all nine heavens and personally locked her inside the Jade Terrace Immortal Palace.
Black iron chains wound around her pale wrists. Que Xu kissed the girl's tear-streaked face and murmured, "For all eternity, you will never leave me."
1. This is not a sweet romance. It has a bad ending.
3. The receiving partner has a surprising side and can hardly be called a good person.
◆ The theme comes from the lyrics of "Sha Po Lang."
