Hey, Are Guinea Pigs That Noisy?

-

Yuan Qiao is a guinea pig, with pale yellow fur that curls just a little.

It isn't noisy at all, yet humans always say it's sending telegraphs.

It has no idea what a telegraph is.

Luckily, the human who adopted it doesn't mind that it talks so much.

And doesn't pay it any attention at all!

"Goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo."

Hey, human human human, what's that thing on your ears? Doesn't it hurt?

"Goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo."

Hey, human human human, you're so nice. You don't mind that Yuan Qiao is so noisy.

"Goo goo goo goo goo goo."

Human, why don't you talk?

"Goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo goo!"

Human, don't be upset. I'll send you a telegram to cheer you up~

The human silently glanced at it, took the thing off his ears, and after a moment spoke the first words he'd said in ages:

"That's so strange. Why can I hear you making all that noise even without my hearing aids?"

Yuan Qiao: ...

That hurts my feelings. I wasn't making noise at all!!

Duan Ze has congenital hearing loss, and the world around him is completely silent.

Of course, that was before he adopted this guinea pig.

He often wonders why he is making himself suffer by keeping such a noisy yellow melon around.

But with Yuan Qiao, he feels like a normal person for the first time.

Whether he wears his hearing aids or not, a "goo goo" sound drifts around his ears.

Duan Ze tries several times to pinch Yuan Qiao's mouth shut, but the goo-goo sounds still spill out.

He gives up.

Go on, make noise.

Out of habit, even when Yuan Qiao transforms into a young man right in front of him, standing naked and looking at him with a confused, pursed mouth,

Duan Ze thinks, Finally, some peace and quiet.

A minute later, Duan Ze puts on his hearing aids. "Yuan Qiao, why did you stop making noise?"

It feels so strange.

Yuan Qiao's eyes light up, and he throws himself at him. "Human! You're talking to me again at last!"

Then Yuan Qiao's little mouth starts chattering nonstop.
