The protagonist is a second-year graduate student at the School of Business Administration. One day, an accident sends him transmigrating to ancient times.
Fine, ancient times it is. He can put up with the lack of technology, and being poor is what it is. At least he's alive... Bullshit! He can't put up with any of it!
The body he's transmigrated into is actually in a sworn brother relationship with another man!
The original owner was so poor that, at twenty-seven or twenty-eight, he still couldn't find a wife. The villagers pointed fingers at him and talked behind his back. By coincidence, there was another old bachelor in the village in the same situation. Somehow, the two of them ended up living together, becoming a famous oddity throughout the surrounding villages. Now, instead of one man being gossiped about, both of them were the subject of gossip.
The original owner could barely feed himself, yet for some reason he had also taken in four children.
The oldest was a boy, brave but foolish. If someone else raised a gun, he'd fire the cannon. Later, his so-called good friend betrayed him, and he took the blame, went to prison, and was beheaded.
The second was a boy with a head full of petty schemes but no real wisdom. He was always trying to get the better of others, until he lost everything over a small gain, fell into someone's trap, and lost his life.
The third was a girl, strong-willed to the point of being brittle. Her two fathers sold her to her husband's family. She didn't know how to act sweet and gentle, so they disliked her. Even when she was about to give birth, she was still working in the fields. She fell, miscarried, and was scolded by her in-laws. Before she'd even finished her month of confinement, they forced her to go back to work. She spent the rest of her life constantly getting pregnant and miscarrying. When she could no longer bear children, her husband's family threw her out with a divorce letter. The rest of her life was miserable.
The fourth was a girl whose personality was the opposite of her sister's. She was timid, meek, and had no mind of her own, always doing whatever anyone told her. Her two fathers sold her to a family for a high bride price. Though obedient, she was never treated well. Her husband's entire family bullied her, and she spent her whole life working like an ox. Before she turned thirty, she died from exhaustion. Her life had been so bitter, yet even as she died, she thought her husband's family was kind, and that at least her life had been better than it was back at her parents' home.
After learning what had happened to this whole family, the protagonist wanted to bash his head against a pillar and kill himself. Whatever, he was done with transmigrating.
What? The other man in the original owner's sworn brother relationship had transmigrated too, and he's the senior doctoral student he's had a secret crush on for six years!
Transmigration is great! Transmigration is wonderful! This sworn brother relationship is great! It's wonderful!
So what if they're a little poor, and the kids are a bit hopeless? No problem. He can handle them!
