Little White Rabbit Version:
Snow blanketed the land, and ice stretched for a thousand miles. When the little white rabbit opened her eyes, all she saw was a blinding white, but her mother was nowhere to be seen.
Instinct told her to crawl out and look for milk.
Just as she was about to freeze into an ice sculpture, the little white rabbit spotted her "mother" lying nearby.
But this mother rabbit was truly irresponsible. She just watched as the little white rabbit struggled toward her, without moving a muscle, her eyes half-lidded as she lazily enjoyed the little rabbit's predicament.
At last, the little rabbit bravely crawled up to her, then struggled to burrow beneath her mother's fluffy belly. Before she could enjoy her mother's warmth, she was already eager to fill her stomach.
The little white rabbit opened her mouth and took a big bite. Instead of getting any milk, she heard her rabbit mother let out a shriek so awful it seemed to shake the heavens and send countless birds flying.
The little white rabbit stared in confusion at her rabbit mother, who was bouncing all over the mountain and howling the whole time. She couldn't understand how her perfectly normal mother had suddenly gone crazy!
Great White Tiger Version:
Outside, snow had blocked the mountain passes. A great white tiger, having just eaten an antelope, lounged on the ground, basking with his belly exposed.
Suddenly, a rustling came from the woods. The well-fed tiger raised an eyelid and looked over, wondering who was foolish enough to invade his territory.
At the sight, he nearly burst out laughing. It was a little rabbit that had only just opened its eyes. His luck was so good that even the food came right to him.
But he'd eaten his fill today and couldn't be bothered to move. The little thing was in luck: he'd let it live.
Who would have thought the foolish little white rabbit wouldn't turn around and run for its life? Instead, it came crawling toward him with great effort.
The little white rabbit must have mistaken him for its mother, because it kept burrowing beneath him.
Perhaps he was full, or perhaps there was nothing to do in the middle of winter. Whatever the reason, the big tiger didn't kill the little rabbit in one bite. Instead, he watched with interest to see what it would do.
And then, then the great white tiger suddenly felt a pain no living creature should have to bear. His, his...
That wretched little rabbit was trying to make sure he would never have cubs. How vicious!
