Retiring in the Ultraman Universe After Saving the Universe

[Please note! Hikari is a daddy figure, not a romantic pairing]

After saving the universe, Reiya begins a new life as an Ultraman.

By the age of five hundred, he's become the mentor of a certain debt king, a friend to a certain sharp-horned alien, and the daughter of a certain scientist...

His blank soul is colored by the bonds of family and friendship.

So I'm not alone. I have family, too.

Looking at the countless pairs of concerned eyes behind him, Reiya sighs to himself:

I've always longed for family.

But don't I have a few too many relatives now?

In the battle zone, Reiya watches a monster flee as the black-hearted Ring speaks into his ear, coaxing him...

What?

I'm teaching Orb?

That hotheaded fool!

Just imagine how exciting things are going to get.

Reiya can almost hear Orb shouting: "Reiya-sensei! Lend me your power!"

His eyes go dark.

Corpse-Dumper King No. 1: "Where there's hope, there's light. Across the multiverse, my shadow is everywhere!"

Corpse-Dumper King No. 2: "Want to hang around? Then go search the universe for my remains. You can look for my clone, too."

Street Punk No. 1: "Have you seen my big bro? He's gone missing! Big bro, where are you? Big bro? Big bro?! Big bro!!"

A certain Jugo: "..."

Street Punk No. 2: "Found you, Belial!"

A certain Belial: "Why is it you again?!"

Street Punk No. 3: "Monsters are so weak. Every time I have to hold back, just in case I smash one to pieces with a single swing. It's such a pain..."

The monsters: "!!!"

Run! That monster-sweeping machine is back!

Ultraman fanfic is scarce, so I have to write my own. The timeline is a mess, and a lot of it is original, so some out-of-character moments are inevitable. Please don't flame me. The author's heart is fragile, and I'll cry if I see it.

Theme: Family and friendship are lighthouses along life's journey and a home for the heart.
