As he spoke, he casually flipped through the notebook Lin Tanmin was holding. Seeing the bold, firm characters "Lin Tanmin" on the cover, he smiled again. "Officer Lin, you look familiar. Have we met before?"

"We used to be friends."

Chen Yanxu had always believed that affection without some benefit to keep it going was bullshit.

Spelled "friends," but read as "useful."

As usual, he planned to use the same tricks on Lin Tanmin that he'd used on everyone else.
