[Western Crossover] Crown of Thorns

[Alien: David BG Fanfic]

[The author’s collection also includes two completed BG stories featuring David: A Universe for You and Echoes of the Universe]

As the illegitimate daughter of Mr. Weyland, the world’s richest man, Gilly has an awkward place in the family.

Her half-sister is constantly on guard, afraid she’ll fight for the family fortune, while her father is even more despicable. He sees Gilly as a walking blood bank, covets her young, healthy body, and only wants to replace his own decaying organs with hers.

The only one in the house who treats her with real care is David, the handsome android butler.

He is a mentor and a friend, teaching her to endure, to bide her time, to hide all her emotions and smile at her enemies, then strike them down when they least expect it.

When Gilly finally stands atop the Empire State Building, looking out over the whole city, David hands her a glass of red wine and congratulates her on finally getting everything she wanted.

Gilly lifts his chin and traces the shape of his lips with her breath. “But what I want most is you.”

“David, give me your heart.”
