The Days I Spent as Childhood Friends with Baseball Boy Ichiro

My childhood friend is Kunito Eiichiro, who's handsome, tall, honest, gentle, incredibly responsible, and someone I can trust.

When I'm with him, I never have to worry about a thing. He keeps me on track with my homework, my plans to get up early, and even my diet.

Kunito Eiichiro is practically the perfect childhood friend.

I just didn't expect that when I casually said I wanted to date someone out of boredom, Eiichiro would tell me he'd already made a dating plan and was ready to date me anytime.

I was stunned.

I was just saying it!

Besides, if I really dated someone, I'd want to date Hinomoto-senpai, who's in the same club as Eiichiro. Senpai is sunny, speaks gently, and is tall...

Oh no, I really think he's my type.

When I was going to write a love letter to Hinomoto-senpai, Eiichiro accidentally found my draft.

There wasn't a trace of a smile on Eiichiro's face as he cornered me against the wall and asked if I'd fallen for someone else.

Looking at his now-gentle no longer face, I weakly said, "I only think of you as a friend."

I've never seen Eiichiro as a romantic prospect, because I realized long ago that the ever-popular Eiichiro is gentle, but also has a strong desire for control that shows through when he takes things too seriously.

Eiichiro touched my face and murmured, "But we promised we'd get married back in kindergarten, didn't we?"

Me: "..."
