A Guardian Sweetheart for a Blade Demon

As someone with achromatopsia, Zhige had been unable to see the world's colors since childhood, and couldn't understand what everyone meant by feeling their heart flutter.

Then, after struggling his way out of a cramped space, he looked up in confusion and met the gaze of the little sword spirit who held him in the palm of their hand.

In an instant, something strange appeared. The world regained its colors, and his heart began pounding uncontrollably.

Looking at the dazed little sword spirit, Zhige's eyes curved into a smile. He leaned close, cheek to cheek, and said, "My name is Zhige. I'm the you that exists in your ideal. I hope we'll get along!"

He saw the confusion in the other's eyes, and he saw everything that came with having color.

The little sword spirits raised their hands and recited the spell they had been told countless times: "My heart, unlock!"

Sunlight pierced the darkness. A heart's egg entered their hearts, and they tore apart the chains that had bound them!

[The Kashuu Kiyomitsu abandoned three times]

How adorable do you have to be for someone to keep loving you?

Until his colorless nails turned a perfect red. As the first sword, nourished by love, perhaps he could make another version of himself his master.

[The Yamanbagiri Kunihiro devoured by enemy blades]

A blade riddled with holes doesn't even count as a copy anymore...

Until his torn blanket was made whole again, its gray trim just as before. He was Kunihiro's masterpiece, a sword made to exist for you alone.

[The Mikazuki Munechika turned into a land-bound spirit]

Hahaha... So in the end, my last use is to lend my body to the old man.

Until the beautiful crescent moon vanished from his eyes. He raised his vanished original body, its tip pointed at the blazing basement, while carefully shielding the tiny figure in his palm.

[The Heshikiri Hasebe cursed into rebellion]

I'm my master's sword, yet I can't obey my master's orders at all. I should disembowel myself!

Wait... more to come.
