[Updates promptly at midnight every night / A heartthrob who doesn't know it / Not a strong female lead!!!!!]
A romance novel with tons of lovesick men who adore men, misunderstandings, and a weak heroine
🚫 No policing. Please don't tell me how to write 💞💖
The main story is told in first and third person.
I got pulled into a game, a tragic BL romance simulator where everyone except the women, be they humans, immortals, demons, ghosts, or monsters, is gay.
I became part of the game.
The System said I could either get the leads together for a happy ending or cultivate my way through the void and return home. (P.S. No one has ascended in ten thousand years.)
Normally, I should choose the first option.
...But, but, but I'm homophobic! 😱
The path of ruthless cultivation, here I come!
By the way, it seems like everyone here is messed up.
I heard the Great Dao is heartless, yet full of feeling, so I tried to infiltrate the Dual Cultivation Sect to learn their arts. But the moment they heard I cultivated the heartless way, they rushed at me to rip off my clothes-
"? Why are you grabbing me? I'm just a broke sword cultivator who follows the heartless way!"
Their eyes lit up even more. "Don't run! You're my final project!"
Damn, isn't this a BL game?
The secondary couple's overpowered hero is even more ridiculous. He doesn't pursue the sickly beauty bottom he's supposed to, and instead spends all day saying, "Are you secretly in love with me?" and "If you love me, just say so! If you don't, how am I supposed to know?"
So I grabbed his head and pointed him toward the genre labels:
BL, danmei, pure love. Get it?
But after three seconds of silence, he said, "Yeah, yeah, I get it, wife."
- So this is the world of a BL game!
After suffering through all that, I packed my bags and went back to my sect.
I opened the door and saw my sexually aloof senior brother, the top who was my fiance, pinning our succubus snake junior brother, the bottom, against the wall.
Ah, finally, something normal.
I breathed a sigh of relief and got ready to climb Mount Kongtong, but the two of them suddenly pinned me against the wall and demanded in unison:
"Tell us! Between us and Master, who do you love?"
...I don't love either of you.
Wait, what? Isn't this a BL game?
Stop interrupting my ruthless cultivation!
Huh? What? This is all my fault because I'm a flirt who treats everyone the same?
But isn't that what the heartless path is all about?
*Just having compassion for all living things (laughs). I'm too kind-hearted, so now I'm stuck with mad dogs. Not a self-sacrificing saint, just a decent person.
[Warnings / Disclaimers]
* A comedy written for fun, with a scattershot approach. The heroine is the object of everyone's affections, but she's soft-tempered and gentle. Even when she's upset, she just rolls away like a fluffy little ball. Don't read if you're possessive about the hero or heroine. It's an all-ship story, told from a single perspective, with misunderstandings, and it is absolutely romance!!! Don't take this story seriously. There are countless great books out there, so let's spare each other. If this isn't for you, move on.
* Extra sweet, extra satisfying, extra refreshing (?). I ship men, women, the heavens, the earth, everything. Not a strong female lead. Written to indulge my tastes.
* I chose this premise because it makes it easy to write a heroine who is adored by everyone without realizing it, and a shameless flirt who doesn't worry that anyone might fall for her. Fundamentally, this is an ultimate Mary Sue story. The heroine has a strong moral compass, but firmly believes none of them could love her. There is a secret behind the original game, which the heroine has misunderstood. All the characters in the original game are heterosexual, a bunch of straight guys. BL is just background, one ingredient in the story.
* All the men are virgins.

P.S. The world is like an online game, not a serious cultivation setting, and contains lots of forums.
Don't look for realism in this story, darling.
This isn't literary realism and doesn't aim to critique anything.
It's just a lighthearted comedy written to indulge my tastes, for my own enjoyment. No trolling. Don't tell me how to write. If you don't like it, read something else. And please don't make me betray my language arts teacher! I hope I have fun writing it, and that you have fun reading it.
Don't take this out of context. Comments that start flame wars will be deleted.
