Knight Syndrome

■ Blunt, adorable knight-girl × gloomy, sensitive prince-boy

[School setting | He has a secret crush | Their emotional rhythms slowly fall into sync]

Jiang Mi has always had a knight complex.

She’s kind to everyone and tries to help everyone. If someone seems a little pitiful, she practically wants to give them her whole heart.

Then she meets Shen Songyan, a sensitive, suspicious, and fragile person.

He hates her, pushes her away again and again, yet clearly needs her.

In the dead of night, Jiang Mi kicks at a pebble beneath her foot. “Oh, then I’m leaving.”

The boy wears an expression that says he knew this would happen, then sneers, “Who are you going to play knight for this time?”

“That’s none of your business.”

When no sound comes from him for a while, Jiang Mi looks back and sees Shen Songyan standing by the river.

He’s always been afraid to go near the riverbank because he once nearly drowned, but now he quietly gazes at her. His tone is calm, as though he’s saying something perfectly ordinary: “If you dare leave me, I’ll kill myself.”
