Shen Yishui became famous at a young age and was known for his meticulous nature. For his first attempt at challenging himself, he took a role in a gay film, only to discover that his co-star was a pretty face with no talent.

The other guy knew nothing and followed him around every day, asking question after question. His eyes were bright, and he wasn't the least bit intimidated by Shen Yishui's coldness.

"Mr. Shen, how should I act in the bed scene?"

"Mr. Shen, should I use my tongue when I kiss you?"

"Mr. Shen..."

The set was cleared. The cameras rolled. Shen Yishui got into character.

He kissed him deeply. The young man beneath him gasped for air, dazed and helpless, grabbing at his hand. His soft waist and stomach were exposed, instinctively yearning for more caresses.

Shen Yishui froze.

Through the thin costume, he felt a fluffy tail, swaying nervously.

The whole crew noticed that the award-winning actor Shen had changed.

He used to be such a rigid germaphobe, but now he actually patted Wu Mingzhu on the head! The two of them even disappeared into the RV together for ages.

Wu Mingzhu knew nothing about the rumors that they were involved. His cheeks puffed as he ate the special meals Shen Yishui made for him and listened to him talk through the scenes. Even when Shen taught him how to behave around other people, he was so happy his tail wagged.

Well... he was actually a dog.

A real dog. A dog who had suddenly turned into a person.

After his tail was exposed, Wu Mingzhu was questioned in the break room. In his panic, his ears popped out too, drooping pitifully.

He tried to cover them, but his eyes turned red first. He said they came out when he was too excited, and begged Mr. Shen not to kick him out.

But he knew Shen Yishui was so cold. Surely...

The man actually raised a hand and gently touched his trembling, fluffy ears.

Wu Mingzhu stared at him, dumbfounded.

"I couldn't very well turn my back on a little puppy who was about to cry," Shen Yishui said.

After filming wrapped, Wu Mingzhu naturally moved into Shen Yishui's home.

He felt he had found his owner and was happy to stick close to Shen Yishui every day.

As the film went through review and won awards, he was swept into the world of fame and fortune, where someone drugged him.

The next morning, Wu Mingzhu looked at the person beside him, his face turning red and then pale.

Shen Yishui woke up to find Wu Mingzhu sitting properly on his knees in front of him, ears drooping, sobbing so hard he could barely breathe as he kept apologizing.

Wu Mingzhu was heartbroken. He had taken his owner's innocence. Besides, Shen Yishui seemed to have stopped treating him like a puppy long ago, and had become so strict with him.

He decided to abandon his owner and pursue his freedom.

Wu Mingzhu had been the one to ask him to teach him how to kiss, and to hold him while he slept.

Now that Wu Mingzhu was avoiding him like the plague, Shen Yishui could only think that a dog's heart was impossible to read. He would have to plan carefully to tie him to his side again.

When the film premiered, the pairing of Shen Yishui and Wu Mingzhu became an overnight sensation. The more people analyzed their sweet moments, the more they found. At the height of their popularity, paparazzi caught them arguing in the street. They parted on bad terms and were never seen together again.

The fans wailed in despair, ready to subsist on edits and behind-the-scenes footage for the next ten years.

Then, just one year later, the director posted about a new project:

"The Jing Shan City Mystery Murder Case @Shen Yishui @Wu Mingzhu"

The poster was painted in shades of pink and white, showing their figures pressed close together. One reached out to touch the other, who turned away as if avoiding his gaze.

The industry was stunned. Why were they playing a couple again? Didn't everyone say it was a tragic ending? Weren't they supposed to reach the top separately and never appear together again?

The ship had sailed. It was real.
