He Said It Was No Trouble

Everyone knows that after Gu Nianju failed to confess to Lu Qia's cousin, he turned around and started pursuing Lu Qia.

But Lu Qia never accepted, and Gu Nianju kept pursuing her.

Then Lu Qia moved to another city and changed jobs, and Gu Nianju actually followed her there.

At a class reunion, someone asked Lu Qia if she had a boyfriend now, and whether Gu Nianju was still pursuing her.

Lu Qia replied awkwardly, "I have a boyfriend. He isn't pursuing me anymore."

"Right, Gu Nianju always gets bored after three minutes. He must have started pursuing someone else."

After returning home, Lu Qia ate the egg noodles with greens that Gu Nianju had made for her and couldn't help asking, "What if I had never said yes to you?"

"Then I would have kept pursuing you." Gu Nianju is practically a househusband now. Back then, Lu Qia's cousin hated men who were weak and didn't put work first.

And Gu Nianju seemed exactly like the kind of man she hated.

So when her cousin rejected Gu Nianju, he escaped the chance of being pushed into a marriage with Lu Qia's cousin by their relatives.

Lu Qia was the only one he had ever loved.
