The Little Hong Kong Medium Loses Her Cover

Qiao Nian is the least noticeable junior archivist at Yau Ma Tei Police Station.

By day, she sorts through old case files in the archives. At night, masked, she sets up a fortune-telling stall on Temple Street to earn extra money.

In the original plot, Qiao Nian accidentally uncovers a clue to an unsolved case, bringing deadly trouble straight to her door.

The moment she awakens to her memories of the book, her eyes suddenly light up.

Qiao Nian: Hehe (^.^) I’m one step closer to becoming Chief Superintendent!

At first, Chief Inspector Cheng of the Major Crimes Unit stands coldly before her fortune-telling stall.

“Con artist.”

Later, Chief Inspector Cheng stands at the stall with a megaphone, keeping order:

“Why are you cutting in line? You need a number ticket for a reading.”

“Families of the 1985 pond-dumping kidnapping case, please go to Fortune Stall No. 1 for consultation and to file an appeal.”

“Families of the 1998 jewelry heist, please have your evidence ready.”

One unsolved case after another is cracked.

In a corner of the police station cafeteria, a few whispers drift by.

“Have you noticed?”

“That fortune-telling witch’s figure...”

“Looks a little like Qiao Nian from the archives!!!”
