My Mom Is a Wealthy Heiress with Amnesia

[My column, The Little Hong Kong Policewoman Inherits a Wealthy Family's Child, is updating daily. Please add it to your favorites!] Ji Ning is the heroine of the melodramatic novel I Lost My Memory After Running Away While Pregnant. After giving birth to Zhuzhu, she was in a serious car accident and lost all her memories. Her daughter was also kidnapped, and her whereabouts were unknown. Three years passed. The Ji family spared no effort or expense and finally found their little heiress. The first time Ji Ning saw Zhuzhu, she ruffled the little girl's hair. The second time Ji Ning saw Zhuzhu, she gently pinched her cheek. The third time Ji Ning saw Zhuzhu, she poked her little tummy. So cute! Zhuzhu asked in a babyish voice, "Are you my mommy?" "Doesn't it look like I am?" She chatted with the little one. "Tell me, do you think you'll look like your daddy?" The little girl tilted her head. "What does Daddy look like?" Ji Ning scratched her head. "I don't know!" A variety show about close relationships went on air. The announced lineup was star-studded, featuring half the people currently propping up the entertainment industry. But there was another surprise on the first day of filming. [What?! Is that Ji Ning? The child star Ji Ning who left showbiz twenty years ago!] [Are she and her little one... really close?] On the show, the guests and their filming partners had terrible relationships and were constantly at odds. A three-time Golden Award-winning actress and her husband, who had become estranged after ten years of breaking up and getting back together, made their entrance. A troublemaking voice-over blared right in their faces: [Beep!] Ji Ning calmly covered the little one's ears. The little one toddled past the actress and her uncle, holding a small red flower in her mouth. The uncle silently pinned it on the actress. The little girl tilted her head. That's mine! Two rising actresses, both new to the industry and already caught up in a storm of scandal, were each other's strongest rivals, but had once been best friends... The little one shook their hands. "Let's all three play together from now on!" There was also a popular young actor and his twin sister. There was no sibling bond to speak of; if they could, they'd rather the other didn't exist at all. The little one peeked at them. "Mommy, they look exactly the same." The twins rolled their eyes at each other. "Ugh, I hate copycats!" Jiang Cheng spent many years searching for the girl he'd met all those years ago. She was willful and mischievous, completely different from him. She was the only time he'd ever lost control in his otherwise orderly life. But she disappeared. He swore that when he saw her again, he would... get an explanation. At last, that day came. He ran into Ji Ning. Jiang Cheng walked up with a cold expression and grabbed her slender wrist. Ji Ning: Who are you? Later... "My daddy?" the little girl asked in a babyish voice. "I doubt it." Ji Ning frowned and looked him up and down, then whispered, "I don't like men who are so gloomy."
