Baji, Raised by Grandma

[Man and Dog on a Misadventure / Dual POV / Yes, It's Really a Comedy]

Late at night,

Li Ji, walking home as usual to save money on a cab, unexpectedly got caught up in a roadside-stall brawl.

At the crucial moment, a big, clumsy yellow dog came barreling over like a tractor and rescued her from danger.

She didn't like dogs. She'd hated them since childhood.

But she couldn't resist this lotus-root-branded tractor, which repaid her kindness and was very good at reading the room. She thought, I'll just feed it. Once it has paid off its debt, I'll send it away.

Later, she found a wooden tag in the folds beneath the tractor's chin. The tag was engraved with "Baji" in crooked, badly worn writing, its surface polished smooth with age.

Oh, it used to have an owner.

An owner who loved it very much.

She decided to help Baji find that owner.

P.S. A dog story, a short novel under 100,000 characters. It's emotionally draining, so updates are slow.
