Wan Jincheng lives in a world where you need someone's permission before you can like them.
Here, no one would say, "Liking you is my business alone. It has nothing to do with you," because the other person can revoke permission to like them at any time.
Some people set their preferences so that anyone under 5'11" isn't allowed to like them. Others forbid smokers and drinkers from liking them. Some even rule out foul-mouthed, yellow-haired delinquents who swear all the time...
Everyone carefully sets their criteria to keep people with unbearable flaws from falling for them. Wan Jincheng is no different.
Until one day, he meets a girl unlike any other.
She has the old-fashioned and boring label he dislikes, and she is exactly the type whose permission to like him he had long ago revoked. A strange feeling prompts him to give her permission to like him.
But then he discovers that he doesn't have permission to like this old-fashioned, boring girl.
Wan Jincheng, a well-bred, handsome, high-achieving guy from a good family, never imagined anyone would revoke his permission to like them.
Wan Jincheng approaches the girl first and confidently strikes up a conversation: "Hi, can I have permission to like you?"
Xu Yiyuan: "I refuse."
This is Xu Yiyuan's nineteenth year in this game world. She's about to graduate from university and is getting ready to wander wherever the road takes her...
She still can't figure out what this permission to like someone is supposed to mean.
But that doesn't stop her from revoking everyone's permission to like her, or from using her one and only golden finger here: revoking her own permission to like anyone.
She's determined to wander alone for the rest of her life, but lately she's run into a bit of trouble. Can that guy surnamed Wan just stay away from her?!!!
[One-on-one ending, but the journey there isn't necessarily exclusive]
[The male lead is definitely inexperienced, the female lead might not be]
[The female lead is free-spirited and loves her freedom; the male lead loves the female lead]
