Gu Li is a wealthy, veteran anime fan. Her three favorite things in life are attending conventions, buying merchandise, and buying doujinshi.
In high school, she gets the chance to study abroad in Japan. At her parents' insistence, she moves in with someone named Atobe Keigo.
Gu Li says: No problem. For the sake of merchandise, I fear nothing!
After enrolling at Hyotei, she quickly discovers that the tennis club is full of couples who are a joy to ship. But Atobe keeps catching her in the act.
Atobe snaps his fingers. "How inelegant. Kabaji, carry her away."
Gu Li, hiding in a gloomy corner and pretending to be a mushroom: ...
Gu Li discovers that Atobe, who gets a headache whenever he sees her, has one day arranged a signing event for her favorite manga artist. And then, out of nowhere, he confesses to her?!
Gu Li, eyes wide: "Are you losing it too?"
Atobe, annoyed: "What, am I not allowed to like you?"
At his mother's suggestion, a girl moved into the Atobe residence.
The Gu Li Atobe used to see:
1: She is devoted to merchandise of various anime characters. What's the point?
2: She is always staring at my club members and laughing for no apparent reason.
3: She likes to suddenly lose it, for no apparent reason.
4: She always wears strange clothes to all sorts of so-called conventions.
Little by little, the strange girl became adorable in Atobe's eyes, though she still gave him headaches sometimes.
After they got together:
Gu Li leaps onto Atobe's back just as he finishes club practice. "There's a convention tomorrow. Come with me, okay?"
Atobe rubs his forehead, exasperated. "Fine, fine. Now get down."
1: The writing is amateurish; apologies for any out-of-character moments.
2: The story starts in high school and might continue into college (thinking it over).
3: I haven't thought of anything else yet. I'll add more if I do.
4: The blurb might still be revised. Feel free to take a look for now.
