I, Kalista, was originally just a little mage who liked tinkering with minor spells.
Well, technically, I should be called a magical girl, but she clearly didn't agree with that name. To her, magical girls were the ones who loved saving the world and upholding love and justice.
That wasn't her. She couldn't care less about any of that. All she ever wanted was to stay in a dark, lightless attic and study her magic.
And here's where things got weird: one day, she suddenly found herself on the opposite side of the world from a group of magical girls who charged at her, shouting about bonds and passion.
Kalista: "I'm the villain?"
She was confused, but she wasn't the type to sit around and take a barrage of special attacks. The two sides fought back and forth.
Then things got even weirder. Even though she had the upper hand, she was inexplicably sealed away.
Kalista: "Ha. The world's consciousness has its sympathies way out of whack."
Forced into a deep sleep, she had no idea how long she was out. The magic circle beneath her began to grow warm, and she was rather unceremoniously woken up by the heat.
She opened her eyes and looked up to see a gigantic monster. Without hesitation, she shouted, "Now that's what I'd call a villain, you cow-headed spider!"
Before she could transform and dazzle everyone, a man with a mustache as long as his nose hair scooped her up.
At the same time, a strange voice appeared in her mind.
"Ding! The Dokidoki Romance System is now active. Let's enjoy a sweet romance together!"
Kalista: ...
She repeatedly ignored the thing in her head, whose origins were unknown, and wandered around the other world.
But before long, she died and returned to the place where she'd been sealed.
Having had a taste of life outside, she naturally didn't want to stay somewhere she couldn't move and where there was no one around.
Kalista had no choice but to make a pact with the System, promising to complete its missions. How she completed them was none of its business.
[Reunited after a long separation, you give the young redhead a heartfelt hug.]
Kalista obediently stepped forward, opened her arms, and said with great feeling, "I remember holding you when you were little."
Red Hair: ...
[This is Whitebeard's newest adopted child. Make a lasting first impression!]
Kalista thought for a moment, then said, "Hello. I'm actually the eldest sister."
Then she turned and called to Whitebeard, "Dad, can I have him? All the other magical girls have cute pets."
Phoenix: ...
Whether it was Fire Fist, Mushroom, or the Seven Warlords, none of them liked her any less for her bizarre behavior. In fact, their affection for her only grew.
Kalista: "The weirder it gets, the more fun it is. Anyone who sees this would say, 'Long live BL!'"
