Song Zhen picked up an alpha. He was handsome and strong, and aside from having a few screws loose and remembering nothing, he was wonderful in every other way.

At first, Song Zhen found the alpha a handful. He ate a lot and was always causing trouble. But as time went on, Song Zhen grew used to the lively life they shared.

Song Zhen had lived alone for many years. Only then did he realize how wonderful it felt to have someone by his side.

The alpha would grin at him and call him "big brother." On cold winter nights, they would hold each other for warmth, driving the chill away completely.

Eventually, they got married. Song Zhen thought they could spend the rest of their lives together... and that would be enough.

Then, one day, without warning, the alpha regained his memories.

Only then did Song Zhen learn that his husband was Fu Yuheng, the long-missing eldest son of the Fu family of City A.

Fu Yuheng was the very picture of a heaven-blessed heir. He had everything people could envy: exceptional looks, an illustrious family, and high-grade pheromones.

But Fu Yuheng had been accidentally injured and lost his memories amid a family power struggle. He had even made a lifelong commitment to a beta from the slums. Now that his memories had returned, Fu Yuheng looked at his partner and frowned.

He hated betas most of all.

His taste had been awful when he was amnesiac. Fu Yuheng decided to give the beta some money as thanks for saving him, but the beta looked at him with reddened eyes. "Is Song Heng never coming back?"

Fu Yuheng replied coolly, "That's right. You may as well consider him dead."

Later, just as Song Zhen had given up hope, he discovered that he was pregnant.

Note:

1. This is a melodramatic novel. The author loves trashy drama, so it will probably be both cheesy and full of it. If that's not your thing, read at your own risk. Please note in particular that it includes pregnancy, childbirth, and miscarriage.

2. Both leads are virgins. The shou will marry someone else later, but they will not have sex.

3. Neither protagonist is perfect. They both have plenty of flaws. There is a pseudo-incest side couple whose ending is tragic.

4. The setting is fictional, with lots of original worldbuilding, all in service of the plot. Please don't compare it to real life.
