After Faking My Death, I Became the Fated One's Heart-Mole

At first, Jiang Juesheng only wanted to make a game that was a little suspenseful, with a yuri romance at its heart. But a bug in the System made her the rival of the Chosen One, a female Asura from the Asura Clan.

According to the setting, the female Asura is hopelessly in love with the protagonist the player is pursuing. She has no interest in the other romance target, the Chosen One, and even seems poised to bully the school belle like a school bully.

Her gaze at Jiang Juesheng shifts from cold to gentle, then to a deep affection she can barely keep in check.

Jiang Juesheng is too busy sending frantic SOS messages to the development team to notice. They don't help much.

Every day, she acts like a robotic maid, fawning over the protagonist. Whenever she leaves the scene, the Chosen One drags her off to cultivate together.

Proper cultivation, with nothing explicit involved.

Jiang Juesheng doesn't think much of it. She's certain she won't fall for a character she created, unlike those playwrights.

One time, she cultivates until she goes into qi deviation. According to the plot, she should push the Chosen One into a demon's lair, then be killed instantly by the protagonist. She imagines this might let her escape the bug.

Before she can act, the Chosen One saves her.

And gives her a passionate kiss.

Isn't this supposed to be a scene for the protagonist and her love interests?!

The Chosen One carries Jiang Juesheng in her arms all the way back to Tianmen.

The NPCs are completely baffled.

The protagonist angrily demands, "Qingrun, what is your relationship with Jiang Juesheng?!"

Yan Qingrun triggers another passive keyword: "We're loving sisters."

Jiang Juesheng: "Is that something the light of the righteous path should say?"

Yan Qingrun fusses over her and gives her rare treasures. One gift leads to another, until she confesses her feelings.

Jiang Juesheng tries to pretend she's straight, but then heavenly tribulation arrives. "My Asura Clan never gets involved in romance. You should find someone else."

The hurt look in Yan Qingrun's eyes leaves Jiang Juesheng inexplicably remorseful.

By a lucky accident, Jiang Juesheng successfully fakes her death, leaving only memories behind for Yan Qingrun and the NPCs.

Back in the real world, Jiang Juesheng hears a coworker say, "Boss, you made the plot so deliciously angsty!"

Jiang Juesheng: "Huh?"

She looks at a line of text on the computer beside the gorgeous character art: Yan Qingrun turns evil to avenge her beloved.

Yan Qingrun, once the person most likely to ascend and become a god, fell into demonic cultivation and became one of the Asura Clan. In less than a few hundred years, she had brought the clan under her rule. She interrogated everyone across the Three Realms who knew anything about the art of reincarnation.

But no one could give her a reliable answer.

Yan Qingrun held on through her memories, never becoming so consumed by darkness that she went on a killing spree. She returned to the place where Jiang Juesheng had met with disaster, hoping to summon another heavenly tribulation and bring her away.

A bolt of lightning struck. When she opened her eyes, she wasn't in a new world. Instead, she heard a voice like a machine say, "She no longer exists between Heaven and Earth. Why are you so fixated on her? Why not treat her as an illusion?"

The smile on Yan Qingrun's face was no longer divine. Her voice was cold and decisive: "I only want to find the one in my heart. Whoever stands in my way is my enemy!"

Jiang Juesheng: "..."

What a cringey line.

She slumps helplessly in the recording booth. So can someone tell her how she became the Chosen One's one and only?

Sparks fly from the microphone, and the room flickers between light and darkness.

An eerie breeze blows through. A pale hand strokes her delicate, beautiful face. "A Sheng, so this is what you really look like. Don't run off so far next time. I was worried."
