My Dad Is an Evil Spirit

[The eldritch being I worship is slowly becoming more human.]

In the tenth year that Li Yusheng made offerings to his godfather, the whole village said he was raising an evil spirit.

Then disaster struck. Everyone on the entire floating island perished, leaving him alone. There wasn't even enough food left to sustain him.

With no other choice, Li Yusheng turned his gaze toward the nameless mist in the distance.

The food ran out, and the fog spread.

The floating islands in the distance writhed like living things, while his godfather wrapped vines around his wrist to stop him from approaching.

Li Yusheng said seriously, "Dad, if I have to choose between starving to death and being eaten by an eldritch creature, I'll choose the latter."

P.S. Floating-island survival, no romance, feel-good power fantasy. The protagonist isn't smart, and his values are unusual.

P.P.S. The setting is a spiritual qi revival after a great cataclysm, with Lovecraftian elements.

P.P.P.S. It's like foraging along the coast or in the mountains, except the protagonist forages across islands.
