Mi Ying thinks back to her high school days. Boarding school was monotonous and boring, and life was like a stagnant pool. Only Friday evenings were joyful and worth looking forward to.
For three reasons:
First, she didn't have to wear her uniform on weekends.
Second, she could go to her best friend's house to play games and watch anime.
Third, she might receive a letter from her long-distance pen pal.
Mi Ying had never met this pen pal from far away. She only knew their postal code, recognized their neat, strong handwriting, and knew they lived 2,800 kilometers away. Like her, he was a high school boy weathering his own trials and longing for freedom.
Mi Ying loved the feeling of wondering, "Who has sent me a letter from beyond the clouds?"
They didn't need to meet, or even know what the other looked or sounded like. Still, they never ran out of things to talk about, and shared countless moments of what could only be called "resonance."
Across spring, summer, autumn, and winter, over lakes and treetops, through clouds and currents of air.

Every couple should first become good friends.

Tips:
- A supporting couple from "A Guide to Summer Romance". Can be read on its own without affecting the experience.
- Dual POV, told through letters exchanged between the characters, with a cozy everyday-life feel.
- A pure high school campus story, with no urban setting.
