His Rose [Marriage Before Love]

Cool and free-spirited x devoted and restrained

Lian Qiang x Shen Muye

Reunion after years apart, married first and in love afterward,

-

Lian Qiang never thought she would get married right after graduating.

She never thought she would end up marrying someone she didn’t love, either.

Her new husband, Shen Muye, was a very aloof and restrained man, as well as Lian Qiang’s high school classmate.

His name sounded wild. That was the only impression Lian Qiang had of him, both during high school and afterward.

Four years later, they happened to reunite at a matchmaking event. He wore an understated black suit, a faint smile on his lips, and remained unfailingly polite and refined. Yet beneath his words lay an unmistakable forcefulness: “I’m willing to trade everything I own for a chance to have Miss Lian consider marrying me.”

Her first love was dead. What did it matter who she married?

Lian Qiang hesitated for less than a second before agreeing.

She was someone who loved and hated openly, and she had always been decisive. She never regretted her choices.

The rare moment of hesitation was only because of the look Shen Muye gave her.

His dark eyes were deep, like a wolf’s or a leopard’s, and filled with undisguised possessiveness.

Suspecting she’d imagined it, Lian Qiang didn’t think much of it.

She assumed they would most likely be a respectful, courteous couple after marriage, so on their wedding night she naturally suggested sleeping in separate rooms.

He lowered his eyes and looked at her without expression, his dark shadow pressing over her until it completely engulfed her.

His fingers slowly and carelessly traced the edge of her pale, delicate ear, sending a shiver through Lian Qiang. Shen Muye’s gaze seemed to burn as he looked at her.

“Miss Lian seems to have misunderstood. I never intended for this to be a sexless marriage.”

The bed on their wedding night was huge. They could easily spend the whole night rolling around on it.

Shen Muye was a very good husband: great in bed, quiet, and full of tricks.

Lian Qiang often regretted not realizing what a treasure he was back in high school.

Until one day, by chance, she opened her old yearbook and discovered a secret that had been hidden for many years on Shen Muye’s page.
