The Medicine Man I Raised Came to Life

Half-baked witch doctor x dim-witted medicine vessel

Official title: Gathering Bones and Blowing Souls

I live on Withered Mountain. It's also called Weeping Mountain, because at night, the mountain cries.

Everyone thinks it's haunted, some sort of cursed mountain, but I've lived here for years, so I know it isn't haunted at all.

It's just the bones buried in the mountain crying.

One day, I was asleep when another cry came from underground. It was different from the other bones' cries, restrained, yet far more desolate. In other words, it sounded really beautiful.

His crying made me itch with curiosity. I couldn't sleep, so I got up, grabbed my hoe, and went out in the dead of night. I followed the sound to its source and immediately began digging up the corpse and bones.

Corpses that can cry have long since decomposed into bones. Their flesh rots all too easily, and their souls may have crossed the River Sanzu several times over. But bones are different. They'll stay buried in the earth, singing their lovely cries each night.

The more I dug, the happier I became. But these bones seemed to be buried extremely deep. I dug for ages without finding a trace, and then it started to rain. As soon as the rain fell, the bones across the entire mountain stirred, howling one after another as if summoning some demon from beneath the earth.

At last, I dug them up. The bones that cried most beautifully on the mountain belonged to a badly damaged male corpse.

The moment he emerged from the earth, every howling bone on the mountain fell silent. And I took him home.

1. The main story is in third person; only the blurb uses first person.

2. The female lead is the most powerful and the most shameless. The male lead is her little sidekick.

3. There are loads of personal settings, most of them made up by the author. Please don't take them seriously.

Theme: As long as you're alive, keep tormenting them to death
