When Shen Hexi moved into a new dorm room, an art student took the empty top bunk.

He had dyed his hair golden yellow, and his hands and feet were slender and fair. Most striking of all was his bewitching gaze, which could captivate anyone who looked his way. The red mole at the corner of his eye seemed to move.

There were six beds in the dorm, but only three people had moved in. And yet he chose the bunk right above Shen Hexi's. He looked every bit like a pampered young master.

He was always climbing up and down in front of Shen Hexi, sometimes even sitting on the ladder between the beds and glancing at him now and then.

The boy, whom Shen Hexi had thought couldn't speak, suddenly said, "Hi. You look delicious."

Shen Hexi: "W-what?"

His voice was low, and the end of each sentence curled like a kitten's. "The cake you just bought looks delicious."

Shen Hexi could have sworn he saw something like an ear flick past.

At first, Shen Hexi thought Yu Xiu just liked staring at him. After all, an art student couldn't be hanging around the computer science department all the time.

He really was like a little cat following a tail, sometimes creeping closer to sniff Shen Hexi's scent.

"You smell nice." Yu Xiu smiled. His smile was soft and sweet, with a natural charm that seemed made to break down Shen Hexi's defenses.

Shen Hexi's heart trembled.

It wasn't until later that he realized Yu Xiu didn't act that way only with him. He could easily make other people fall for him.

It was as if no one had ever taught him how to love just one person.

Shen Hexi saw him return gifts to people who gave him presents, and eat food offered by others.

Shen Hexi couldn't understand why Yu Xiu couldn't be devoted to just one person. Even as roommates, they should have been closer than that.

Shen Hexi darkened his expression, ready to confront him. But Yu Xiu climbed down from his bed on his own in the middle of the night. "Big Brother, I've wanted to sleep in your bed for so long. Big Brother, are you jealous?"

On impulse, Yu Xiu wanted to taste the flavor of a human's lips. But the moment he kissed Shen Hexi, his tail popped out.

"Oh! My little cat tail!"

Only later did Shen Hexi learn that Yu Xiu hadn't originally lived in this dorm. He'd spent ages tracking down Shen Hexi's scent. If he hadn't been adopted by a family, he would have become a bald cat with nothing to eat.

The little cat nuzzled against Shen Hexi and pleaded, "Big Brother, I've been looking for you for so long. I saw how you got jealous, and I heard that means you like me. Does liking someone mean we have to mate?"

Yu Xiu bit his long, soft tail and stuck out his little bottom. "Big Brother, I'm ready. Could you come inside for a bit?"
