By a twist of fate, Ao Bing comes ashore. He expects his trip to the human world to go smoothly, but as soon as he lands, he runs into his destined nemesis, Nezha!
Things get even unluckier when he gets caught up in the Investiture of the Gods War and his nemesis drags him onto the battlefield.
It's easy to enter the battlefield of the Investiture of the Gods, but hard to leave. You either die there or speedrun your way to the ending. He's clearly not getting out, but at least his life is safe for now.
His own situation is fine. The real problem is all the live seafood in his spatial storage. He can't let all those sea creatures go to waste.
So what can he do? He'll sell seafood on the battlefield of the Investiture of the Gods and make a fortune.
What? Most of the soldiers in the camp are poor? There are still a few rich ones, aren't there?
All the waters under heaven flow to the Eastern Sea, and so does wealth. As the Third Prince of the Dragon Palace, he hardly needs to explain his talent for making money.
Hmph! He, Ao Bing, is going to make sure that every single shell on this battlefield bears the surname Ao!
Ao Bing is lounging at home when disaster strikes out of nowhere.
When he hears a ding in his mind, Ao Bing still has a huge grape in his mouth, freshly fed to him by a dragon maiden.
His chewing stops at the sound. After swallowing the grape, Ao Bing looks at the two dragon maidens attending him and asks, "Did you hear something?"
The two dragon maidens exchange a glance and silently shake their heads.
So that's how it is. Ao Bing dismisses everyone and spends a long while figuring out what's going on.
In short, an otherworldly creation called the Wealth Accumulation System has chosen him, the graceful, handsome, clever, and beloved Third Prince of the Eastern Sea, and hopes he'll go ashore and make money.
Sounds like a good deal, right? But why should he?
Why should he leave his nice Dragon Palace and go ashore to make trouble for himself?
Then Ao Bing sees the list of rewards posted by the System: a nine-thousand-year-old flat peach, a ginseng fruit shaped like a baby...
Ahem. On second thought, who says the Third Prince of the Dragon Palace can't be a helpful dragon?
Nobody, so he's going to be helpful right now!
After much deliberation, Ao Bing chooses his first destination: the place closest to the Eastern Sea, Chentang Pass!
[Nezha x Ao Bing. Ao Bing is the bottom, and the story is told from his perspective. Set against the backdrop of the Investiture of the Gods. There will be no skinning and sinew removal, nor will he cut off his flesh to repay his mother or remove his bones to repay his father.
I did consider the lotus-root body. The original Investiture of the Gods describes it beautifully, but a body that can grow naturally after three years of gestation has to be better than one made of lotus root, right? I'm sticking with the original body!
There will be depictions of the battlefield of the Investiture of the Gods, making money, and the later Investiture of the Gods. There will also be adaptations, and the characters may be out of character compared to the original Investiture of the Gods.]
Theme: The future is not set in stone. Life lies in change.
