Su Yulin only noticed He Yunian after turning down his admirer.

He Yunian raised an eyebrow at him, his voice playful. "What, senior, you like guys?"

Su Yulin glanced at the lit cigarette in his hand, curled his lips into a smile, and said, "Yeah. And you happen to be exactly my type."

"..." He Yunian froze. He couldn't smile anymore.

On New Year's Eve, the wind howled. Every family gathered around a steaming reunion dinner, while the sounds of firecrackers and fireworks mingled until it was impossible to tell which was louder.

Su Yulin watched the person beside him, dead drunk and still insisting on clinging to him, and couldn't help laughing. "Why are you so clingy?"

He Yunian stared at him without a word. After a long while, he finally said, "Senior, will you date me? Please? Me."

Su Yulin assumed he was drunk and talking nonsense, so he agreed without thinking. "Sure, as long as you remember what you said when you're sober."

But the very next day, He Yunian really did come to claim his "official status."

He Yunian: "What you said yesterday still counts, right?"

Su Yulin: "It does. But I like smart guys, so I'll say yes if your grades improve."

He Yunian fell silent, then turned around and opened his book. Fine, I'll study, okay?!

"I told you, I like you." Gu Yuanzhou smiled. Feeling the weight on top of him, he added out of nowhere, "You're so skinny. What am I going to do with you?"

Yang Jiayou stiffened. His clenched fist gradually relaxed.

Gu Yuanzhou's best quality was his honesty. Unfortunately, Yang Jiayou was anything but honest.

Whenever he wanted something, he'd say no if asked. Whenever there was somewhere he wanted to go, he'd say no to that too.

Even after falling for Gu Yuanzhou, he didn't dare confess how he really felt, even though Gu Yuanzhou had already laid his own feelings on the table.

"Didn't you say you weren't into men?" Gu Yuanzhou looked at the stunned person before him with keen interest. "What was that about sneaking a kiss in the middle of the night?"

Yang Jiayou blushed. "You were pretending to be asleep..."

"You just didn't notice I was awake." Gu Yuanzhou slowly slipped his fingers between Yang Jiayou's. "Are you starting to like me?"

Yang Jiayou: "No."

Gu Yuanzhou: "Then why did you kiss me?"

Yang Jiayou: "I was hungry."

Gu Yuanzhou's smile faded. Watching Yang Jiayou avoid his gaze, he asked in a suggestive tone:

"You really think I'll believe that?"
