Amor was born unable to speak. After being abandoned by an orphanage, he ended up in a strange wasteland, where he found some strange "friends."
They were grotesque and hideous: wild Zerg, feared throughout the stars.
Yet they saved their meager food for him and used their rough limbs to shield him from the cold of the barren planet. They treated him like a fragile little one in need of protection and clumsily made a home for him.
Amor was content, too. Their life was poor, but this warmth was real and tangible.
Until the day the Empire's starships blotted out the sky above the barren planet. A Zerg general in silver uniform led the Empire's most elite troops and finally found them.
Before Amor could react, the wild Zerg behind him let out threatening growls. They stood firmly in front of him, baring their fangs at their polished, well-dressed kin.
They didn't understand anything about the Empire.
They only knew these dressed-up bugs were here to steal their little moon mommy!
*
Amor was taken away all the same.
The Zerg were the most powerful and most pitiful known species in the universe. After their queen disappeared, they split into the Alliance and the Empire, never to have dealings with each other again.
They possessed boundless strength, yet could not escape the absolute longing for a "mother" buried deep in their genes. Life without a queen was a long, despairing torture. Every biological cycle felt like being roasted over a blazing fire. Their reason crumbled, leaving only the urge to destroy and go mad.
Amor began trying to "communicate."
He discovered that these powerful Imperial Zerg were always walking on eggshells around him. If his brow furrowed slightly, one of them would kneel and beg forgiveness. If his breathing grew a little heavier, the guards lining the entire corridor would punish themselves, even maiming or destroying themselves.
They worshipped him on the highest altar, yet feared even stepping on his shadow.
Amor didn't like it. He simply couldn't speak; he wasn't a doll.
So he began clumsily returning their kindness.
He would quietly leave the sweetest honeyed fruit from his ration meal beside the knight who always stood guard outside his door but dared not meet his eyes. When the leader stayed up late handling official business, he would carry over a soft blanket and gently drape it over his legs.
He thought he was being friendly, never realizing what this tiny bit of kindness from their queen meant to a people who had struggled for countless eras with parched souls.
Sadly, the Zerg never understood what their little queen wanted to "say."
The mystery filled them with dread. They could only rely on instinct, using the most humble and obedient manner to guess what he meant and soothe him.
After all, they would rather endure the torment of a thousand rut cycles than see even the slightest unhappiness on that face.

The Alliance Zerg seized an opportunity to take the little queen away. After keeping him in their nest and coaxing him for a while, they won a smile from Mommy and began to push their luck.
The queen was theirs, theirs alone.
They greedily drank in every trace of his scent and traced his sleeping features with their eyes.
Could they dare to hope for more of this supreme honor?
They remained clearheaded, yet every time they drew near their queen, they couldn't help but sink deeper.
Until one day, the Imperial Zerg finally attacked the Alliance. Amor was being held by the commander.
He reached out and touched the ornate wing veins folded behind the male Zerg, symbols of power and status. He wanted to say, If it really comes to it, just come home with me.
But in that instant, the male Zerg's whole body went stiff as stone, then began trembling violently. He dropped to one knee, his back bent and his head bowed low, unable to bear this sudden "blessing."
Amor jumped and drew back his hand in confusion.
He didn't know that the very second his fingertips left, the male Zerg's lowered face had been completely engulfed in crimson.
--Look, you have lit the fire between the Alliance and the Empire.
--Now, how will you put it out?
[Reading Guide]
A beloved darling pursued by everyone. The queen reigns supreme.
Mutual healing. Amor is kind and innocent, slow to catch on and gentle. He's a "failed" experimental subject whose genes were altered by the queen's genes. He was cruelly abandoned and can't speak, a little mute.
The CP is the strongest Zerg. Everyone is sexually pure; this isn't an NP story, doesn't break any rules or cross any lines, and he doesn't have sex with multiple parties at the same time.
Lots of original worldbuilding. The ending is 1v1, meaning there's only one royal consort. The Zerg take pride in earning Mommy's affection. They're respectful and obedient on the surface, but secretly covet him madly. Everyone is obsessed with the queen.
Set in an entirely fictional world and unrelated to reality. Please don't draw parallels to real life. The protagonist criticizes and resists unreasonable social structures and harmful customs. The story does not endorse using unjust social systems to persecute others, and advocates equality and peaceful coexistence.

The Lesser Nobility
Lan Su is the Federation's prime minister. No one knows how many people's bedfellow and lover the prime minister is in private. Even the entertainment tabloids can't figure out how a poor boy from the slums rose to become a powerful figure with overwhelming influence.
The birdcage they built for him, Lan Su regarded as a ladder to the heavens.
He was naturally cold, so when they claimed he had seduced them, Lan Su refused to accept that. It was just an exchange of interests: a trade of power for sex, money for sex, call it whatever you like. He got what he wanted, and they got their reward. It was fair.
A contest between true love and exploitation. Whoever falls in love first loses; whoever gives their heart becomes a laughingstock.
*
Lan Su is sexually frigid, but for the sake of his political future, he works hard to learn how to please powerful men and become an expert at luring them in, though he never quite gets the hang of it.
x Emotionally detached, ambitious, aloof and stunning, alluring and sexy, with a beauty mark at the corner of his eye. Cold, decisive, and ruthless inside; he takes what he wants. Usually restrained and abstinent, he never refuses, which they take as encouragement. He holds the upper hand in relationships. His only weakness may be that he still has a shred of sincerity left after a life like purgatory.
Don't ask how he can be an expert at luring men when he doesn't understand the tricks of a seductress. His face is a powerful weapon. At first, Lan Su didn't want to give himself to them, but they were simply too awful. They used him until they were satisfied, then tricked him into giving them his heart. How could he ever accept that?
The tops stop at nothing to achieve their aims, taking what they want by force and acting without mercy. They aren't good people.
But they adore Lan Su.
A love triangle showdown + redemption after the crematorium + a beloved darling pursued by everyone + political intrigue + group adoration. The setting features two political powers: the Federation and the royal family.
Basically, they go to every length to trick little Lan Su into giving them his heart, but can't bear to give him up, so they resort to some coercive tactics. Overall, it's a beloved-darling story.
