As a rich second-generation heir, Su Jiu's goal in life is to be an ordinary person.
The young master gets a luxury package, so he orders luxury takeout. The young master parties all night, so he works hard to earn money. The young master travels far and wide. And what a coincidence, so does he!
Except he does it for work.
Yes, he's a small-time restaurant review blogger.
Unfortunately, while he was living carefree, his family wasn't having it. One phone call later, Su Jiu was ordered to marry on the spot.
Su Jiu was baffled. Love can go to hell.
But when he turned around, he found himself surrounded by bodyguards. With no other choice, he ducked into a bookstore that had recently gone viral.
Before he could catch his breath, his dear father told him over the phone, "Son, you forgot to turn off your GPS. Love comes first. Come home, kid."
Su Jiu: ...I'm disowning you. Right now.
Just then, the bookstore owner walked in, eyes lighting up. "Hey, aren't you my old schoolmate? How about a review of the shop? Interested?"
Shen Lincheng: "I don't do sponsored collaborations."
Su Jiu wouldn't let up. "To be honest, I'm on the run from an arranged marriage. Please help!"
To his surprise, Shen Lincheng was immediately moved. "Another person fleeing an arranged marriage. I'm in!"
And so, the two men held hostage by marriage successfully signed a dating contract, becoming a couple after the shortest acquaintance in history. Their families no longer had to worry about them.
Until one day, Su Jiu and Shen Lincheng met each other's parents.
Su Jiu was dumbfounded. "You're just an ordinary bookstore owner?!"
Shen Lincheng frowned. "We're actually married?!"
Shen Lincheng had never believed in love at first sight. But he was living proof that it existed.
So he kept his unrequited feelings buried in his heart.
By a twist of fate, they met again years later, and the person he'd fallen for at first sight turned out to have the same problem as him?
What a coincidence...

P.S. The bookstore is called Spring in My Humble Home, a phrase taken from the poem On Reading: "The guests in golden saddles search for blossoms, never believing my humble home has spring of its own."
