[I’m already working on a backlog! I’ll probably start posting once I have around 100,000 or so words saved up~ The blurb still needs work. I’ll revise it once I’ve built up enough of a backlog~]
Ever since he became an apothecary, he’s encountered more and more people on the brink of death along the road. Out of a sense of decency and conscience, he brings them back to his thatched cottage and uses a miraculous healing technique to restore them to full health.
One day, a corpse falls outside his door. He pokes it. Ah, another one with barely a breath left.
As usual, he brings the man in for treatment. But when the man wakes up, he calls him “Teacher.”
Hmm, this one’s a little scoundrel trying to con him.
He figures the man’s mind needs a while longer to recover, so he puts up with the patient’s delirious ramblings for the time being.
Including, but not limited to, the patient gazing at the sky at dawn and sighing, muttering lofty theories on governing the country; the patient wandering over at noon with his hands behind his back, passing him as he cooks over the fire and sitting at the table, waiting to be served without the slightest awareness; and, in the evening, sneaking onto the roof after he falls asleep, like a nighttime prowler, whistling for ages to find a pigeon to carry a letter.
The whistling gets so irritating that he waits until the patient falls asleep, catches the pigeon, and plans to make pigeon soup the next day. Then he opens the unsent letter.
I am still alive. Come meet me at once.

How is he supposed to treat a serious illness like that?
Sickly beauty apothecary bottom & a prince who acts silly but actually knows exactly what he’s doing, and loves to cling to people, top
(Er, I’m a woman whose inspiration comes and goes at random… I’ll only come up with a proper blurb when I’m about to start posting. Let’s just launch this one with no details at all!)
