A Delicate Beta

An arranged marriage between two prominent families, followed by love.

[A sweet, well-behaved beta wife who dresses beautifully every day to entice her partner without realizing it * a morally upright alpha early on, later a smug, reserved man who wants to live inside his wife's body]

Jiang Ran was born to enjoy the good life. A cute little beta, he'd never had to suffer a day in his life.

Except when it came to wanting to have a child with Duan Mingxuan.

Duan Mingxuan was good to him in every way. Even when busy, he made time to keep him company, and would kiss him whenever he wanted. But Duan Mingxuan was too gentle, always taking it easy on him.

Jiang Ran had learned at school that he was a little beta, and what they were doing was nowhere near enough to get him pregnant.

But Duan Mingxuan didn't seem to know that.

Jiang Ran was really troubled.

--

Duan Mingxuan was a towering alpha, handsome and from a good family. He'd been raised as the sole heir from childhood, and was a bit of a stick-in-the-mud.

His family told him he had a childhood betrothal to a beta. He secretly took a peek at them once, twice, three times...

The beta was good-looking.

Although Duan Mingxuan wasn't fond of arranged marriages, as a responsible alpha, he married him anyway.

The beta was delicate and seemed as if he'd break at a touch. Yet on their wedding night, he called Duan Mingxuan "hubby" and even climbed on top himself.

He had no shame at all.

Duan Mingxuan really couldn't take it.

--

Later, Jiang Ran wasn't troubled anymore, and Duan Mingxuan could handle it too. Their child ran around the house calling them both "Dad."

1. A cozy, sweet romance.

2. It's very conventional, so check the tropes before reading, darlings.
