A Minor Character in a Crime Investigation Novel with a Victim System

When Chang Le opened her eyes, she had somehow transmigrated to the 1980s.

She had just pulled herself together and prepared to accept reality and make a life for herself when a voice suddenly appeared in her head:

"Congratulations, you've successfully bound the Victim System."

As if! A Victim System, and congratulations?!

At first, she didn't take it seriously. Then one day, while she was napping alone on a bamboo bed, the System suddenly issued a warning: You have been targeted by the culprit in a series of home-invasion robberies and murders. You are about to become victim number 16.

Only then did she realize the System was serious. As long as she was around, the perverted criminals nearby would target her and make her their victim.

While she was enjoying herself on an outing with her friends, the System issued a warning: Congratulations, you've been targeted by a criminal. You'll go missing in the mountains and be killed.

When she arranged to meet the original owner's "guy best friend," the System sounded again: Congratulations, the hitmen your guy best friend hired are already on their way. They're about to kill you.

That brat wanted to kill her? Then she couldn't be blamed for striking first!

Theme: Bad people are bad. No blaming the victim.
