A long-lived heroine
The new era is great. You don't have to close your eyes and dream to see a dragon livestreaming. That's what Tang Yin thought when she learned that Luo Qin was a dragon.
But when Tang Yin asked Luo Qin how old she was, Luo Qin couldn't remember. She seemed to remember only which time she had woken up, when she would fall asleep next, and whether she would wake up having lost her hearing or some other sense.
When Tang Yin met her, she had just woken up for the 183rd time.
"Since you're a dragon, and the novel I've been reading mentions dragons, can I ask you a few questions?" Tang Yin asked.
Luo Qin's face was expressionless. "No. Don't ask."
"Why not? Can't you answer? Aren't you an Eastern dragon?" Tang Yin asked innocently.
Luo Qin's patience finally snapped. "I'm female. I don't know the answers to those questions in your novel, either."
She had never met any of her kind besides herself. How could she possibly answer?
A divine oracle had put her to sleep, and a divine oracle had awakened her. Her entire life had been denied peace by the arrival of divine oracles.
