The young man urgently needed money for his mother's medical treatment, so he had no choice but to risk transporting cargo for the rebels.

They said it was a job you were unlikely to survive, and sure enough, the Federation came after him as soon as he picked up the cargo.

Amid a hail of bullets, he used the coffin-sized crate he was carrying as a shield and somehow became the one who survived.

The bad news was that he had no way to contact his handler, so he could kiss the rest of his payment goodbye.

Worse, he was mistaken for a rebel and became a wanted criminal of the Federation.

Worst of all, when he opened the crate, he found a girl inside: the missing daughter of a powerful conglomerate, whom the Federation was desperately searching for.

He planned to return her and clear his name. If all went well, he might even get a huge reward.

But the heiress was delicate, and she came down with a fever that very night.

Even sick, she wouldn't behave. She drank half a glass of water, knocked the rest over, then lunged straight at him.

He instinctively grabbed her wrist and pinned her beneath him.

The girl panted softly, her cheeks flushed, her body giving off a lovely scent.

His heart began to race for no reason, his blood boiled, and heat washed over him.
