[Western Crossover] The God of Gotham and the Red Lantern Robin

When I was born, I was greeted with blessings.

When I was born again, I was greeted with madness.

On Ira Smith's birthday, Metropolis was destroyed.

His father, a member of the Green Lantern Corps, returned to Earth from Sector 2768, a great distance away, and organized a small birthday party for him at school. After making a wish among his classmates, Ira blew out the candles. Then the nuclear bomb planted by the Joker exploded.

His father used his life and his power ring to raise a final barrier, protecting the entire school building and saving them. But the barrier was buried beneath the rubble. Radiation lingered outside, the building could collapse at any moment, and the entrance was blocked by debris. All they could do was wait inside the school for the Justice League to rescue them.

But no one came.

To keep out the radiation, the barrier built by the Green Lantern ring had an effect similar to lead. But anyone entering Metropolis, anyone clearing away the layer of dirt, anyone trying to clean up the ruins, even an ordinary person, could have seen the people still alive inside the school beneath the green barrier. All they had to do was look, but no one came to look, and rescue never arrived.

When their food and water were nearly gone, the students finally began fighting and killing each other to survive, until only one remained. Ira, holding the ring, was the last survivor. Protected by the ring, he climbed out of the ruins, only to hear endless arguments. They were arguing over whether superheroes should use force to kill the Joker, stop wars, or protect whales...

No one came to save them.

After the Corps took back the Green Lantern ring that he had never deserved to keep, Ira heard a voice:

Boiling blood, scarlet rage,

Drawn from corpses not yet cold.

A deep-seated hatred, simmering in your gut,

Forges a road to the underworld for them all!

Sentient life-form identified.

Ira Smith, from Sector 2814.

Your heart seethes with endless rage.

You belong to the Red Lantern Corps.

Ira Smith was an orphan, one of countless in Gotham.

His parents took a job with Wayne Enterprises, helping with urban planning and design for Gotham. But after a car accident, both of them died in the hospital, and he was sent to an orphanage.

After that, he was adopted, trained, and turned into a Talon of the Court of Owls. Talons were not supposed to have self-awareness, but in his dormant dreams, he could always travel to another world. In that world, both his parents were alive, and he lived a happy life.

It wasn't until the happy dreams of that world were shattered that he learned his soul existed in two worlds at once.

But he was unlucky in both worlds.

Especially after the Court of Owls woke him once again and sent him to assassinate Bruce Wayne.

Reading notes:

1. Ira is unlucky from the start, unlucky in the middle, and probably won't be unlucky in the end when he gets involved with a man (your whole life was ruined by getting involved with a man).

2. There's a little inspiration from Strange Tales of a Chinese Studio (meaning one world goes crazy about the other world).

3. There will definitely be major out-of-character portrayals! Beware!

4. The other world is actually Flashpoint (lol). The pairing is Flashpoint Superman and Batman. Some parts of Flashpoint will be changed, and they only start dating as adults.

Theme: Building houses properly is better than anything else.
