The Office Drone's Boss Makeover Is in Full Swing

Sensitive, introverted office worker who cries easily × cold, strict, paternalistic elite boss / older man / height difference, size difference

1.

Wen Xu is a standard office drone. He's gentle and kind to others, not very sharp, and keeps his head down and gets on with his work.

To put it nicely, he's honest. To put it less nicely, he's a bit of a pushover. His coworkers are always taking advantage of him, and his bosses don't like him either.

Especially the big bad boss, who's cold as ice and never has a kind word for him.

One day, after the boss has tormented Wen Xu until he's ready to cry again, he finds a dress-up game app on his phone called "Boss Makeover."

Without giving it much thought, Wen Xu names the pixel character "Ji Mingfei."

Ji Mingfei is his demon boss.

The game requires Wen Xu to complete missions for points, which he can exchange for items and use to unlock more features.

On a whim, Wen Xu puts a free German Shepherd ear headband on the pixel character, Ji Mingfei.

The next moment, Wen Xu walks into the office and sees the demon boss, Ji Mingfei, in a crisp suit, wearing a stern expression and a pair of fluffy German Shepherd ears.

Wen Xu quickly gets hooked on the game and starts completing missions like crazy.

Smile at the boss three times for 10 points; make a finger heart at the boss for 20 points; get praised by the boss for 50 points...

Once he has enough points, he can get whatever he wants: tight leather pants, sheer mesh clothes, a frog mascot costume, a snow leopard tail...

Wen Xu's mood at work keeps getting better, and his job goes more smoothly too.

When he sees Ji Mingfei every day, he no longer hangs his head in fear. Instead, he tries to sneak a look at him whenever he can, like he's looking at his own little guy.

2.

Ji Mingfei is Wen Xu's boss.

He has every quality office drones hate in a manager. He's domineering, insists on having the final say, and has extremely high standards for work.

Someone as soft, taciturn, and prone to crying as Wen Xu doesn't meet his expectations at all.

But one day, Ji Mingfei casually plays a dress-up game. The next moment, he sees Wen Xu with red eyes and two fluffy rabbit ears growing from his head.

3.

Wen Xu notices that Ji Mingfei has changed.

When he's working late again, Ji Mingfei sits beside him and guides him through the work, step by step. The snow leopard tail behind him curls around Wen Xu's waist without him realizing it.

When Wen Xu's stress gets overwhelming and he hides in the emergency stairwell to cry, Ji Mingfei appears in a white shirt and black trousers, wearing a waist cincher and leather gloves, and offers him a tissue.

When someone deliberately gives Wen Xu a hard time at a business dinner, Ji Mingfei steps in front of him and spreads six enormous demon wings.

Ji Mingfei's gaze grows gentler and gentler. Gradually, Wen Xu becomes afraid to meet his eyes, and he doesn't dare open the game app anymore.

Until one day, a notification pops up in the game: his little guy has been forgotten for too long and is about to be deleted.

Wen Xu hurriedly logs in and receives a screenful of red roses from the pixel character, Ji Mingfei.
